Here are some things you might be curious about…
Is it going to be a restaurant again?
It’s a possibility in the future…at least for a portion of the building.? The coolers and vent hood are still in place.? We would love to see a restaurant make use of this space.? However, we do not see this as a possibility within the next several years.
Is there parking?
Actually, we have 36?spaces!? There are 5 parking spaces on site.? We have an additional 19 spaces located at 1961 State Street (reserved for those renting spaces) and then we have another 12 parking spaces secured next door at 1969 State Street.
We have ample parking to support a variety of different businesses.
Is the property being auctioned?
No…the previous owners had interest in auctioning the property. ?We do not. ?We intend to create an amazing adaptive reuse of this historic building.
Is the building structurally sound?
Yes…prior to our purchase we engaged a structural engineer to make sure everything was ok. ?They gave us the thumbs up!
Is it going to be torn down?
No…that is the last thing we would want to do. ?We have a history of revitalizing historic buildings and have previously won the Emlen C. Urban award for adaptive reuse presented by the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County.
How will the building benefit the East Pete community?
We hope that the rehabilitation work that we do will create a positive feeling when people see it. ?We hope to preserve its character and its rich history. ?With a variety of businesses within the building, we hope there will be at least one that will benefit you or your family.
